What is your relationship with Haulotte?
Haulotte is a long-standing partner that has been in our catalog for decades, and we have built up a great relationship. In this partnership adventure between two major successful French companies, we appreciate this relationship based on identical human values and simple, direct exchanges, both between departments and people in the field. There is a great deal of trust between our teams, with information-sharing and professionalism. Our “Kiloutians” appreciate Haulotte’s ability to listen to the customer and responsiveness. We also like it when things happen quickly. Haulotte is a supplier that is popular with our customers and our staff alike.
How do you think the rental and lifting equipment market will develop?
The levers for development lie in reducing the carbon footprint and in the connection of our equipment to the IoT (Internet of Things). In collaboration with our partners, we are going to look for product ranges that are more environmentally friendly, such as the Haulotte PULSEO range. We are also seeking to improve the entire value production chain through shared computer data. From the supplier and rental company right through to the customer, this data enables optimal use of equipment in the interests of all.
The lifting equipment market will also benefit in the future from large-scale construction policies in Europe. Whether in Italy for bridge maintenance, or in France for the new Grand Paris underground network, companies will need equipment solutions to develop and maintain these structures.
What do you expect from your suppliers?
At Kiloutou, our purchase criteria are more than simply a question of the price. As a rental company and investor, we need to ensure the availability and maintainability of the equipment, and also its safety and quality. We also need to take into account the technical cost of maintenance and the life-time of the equipment.
Competition is fierce on the lifting equipment market. However, we know that Haulotte has everything we need to take on our challenges, thanks to its technical culture and its approach to customer service. We are in a process of co-construction with our suppliers. We help them to offer equipment in line with market needs by giving them feedback on their innovations, particularly in terms of sustainable development and remote monitoring.
