Let’s Invent
A morning filled with innovation and inventors took place at the H3 Showroom on June 9 last.
The Intellectual Property (IP) and Innovation teams organized a discovery tour about innovation to explain what it means to innovate and how it fits within our strategy.
But their mission did not end there. This event had the added goals of demystifying innovation and showing everyone that they could have an inventor inside them!
Four workshops were set up:
- Workshop 1, hosted by the marketing team, explained why listening to the customer and market is what innovation is built on
- Workshop 2, led by the e-Lab team, explored the digital paths that help with brainstorming ideas which could become tomorrow’s innovations
- Workshop 3 explained the innovative process
- Workshop 4 co-hosted by Hélène Salaville (IP) and a speaker from the French Industrial Property Institute, showed the need for filing a patent since a patent is a culmination of the innovative process
Over 70 employees at H3 came to attend these workshops over the morning.
The event concluded with the 2021-2022 Inventors Awards ceremony, presented by a member of the Executive Committee. No fewer than 23 inventors received an accolade.
Pierre Saubot, who was unable to attend the event, was keen to give us a few words:
“You all know my passion for inventing and the importance I give to patents. It shows that a business is dynamic, youthful and responsive. I applaud your commitment to a strong, long-lasting future for Haulotte.
Your goal, for the long term, must be to discover disruptive technology, genuine innovations that can be patented – this will enable us to stay at the head of the pack around the world.
For the short term, the priority is to find patentable improvements that offer greater safety to customers, enhance the company’s competitiveness, and lower the cost price of machines while ensuring they remain highly reliable. With Alexandre, I know I can count on all of you.”
The morning ended in applauses and kudos for the inventors on stage.
